ps For the record I have never cleaned this coin. Been in a 2x2 since I bought it for my son many years ago. He gave me his collection when he lost interest and went to the military. It was bought from a coin shop.
HeavyHog we can only assess a coin based on the quality of the photos. the coin is at an angle. it should be straight on shot on both sides. there is too much glare from the lighting which obscures the surfaces and makes it difficult to determine luster. no overhead light or flash should be used.
just for your information. just because you never cleaned the coin does not mean it wasnt before you received it. if you would like to reshoot the coin we would be more than happy to reassess it.
if you are using a phone you can try this. the photos in your other post are not helpful
1. if coin is in holder, remove coin from holder if possible
2. turn off flash
3. place coin on flat surface with indirect natural light. maybe a window sill in a cloudy day. Use a black or white background to avoid any reflective color
4. move phone about 3in from coin
5. zoom in using your fingers until the coin comes into focus and fills the cameras view finder. if your phone has a portrait selection use that and then press and hold on the coin in the view finder to AF lock it
6. hold phone steady. if you cant then place something on either side of the coin (like books) at that distance and lay phone between them. this will hold it steady and allow you to zoom and take the photo without any blurring
