1955 appears to be broken die at top of head..is this what I am seeing? Thanks for any feedback.

Looks more like a lamination than a die crack.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

I'll split the difference and say it is a Lamin-crack. (Crackenation?)
I see a lamination above and to the right of the head, and die cracks on the head (RIDB?)

It's an Interior Die Break with a Lamination.

RIDB is what I think, not a broken die per say. Your pics are lacking a bit, please work on that. In focus better quality photos are helpful. The better the photos you post the better we can help you.
