There are some really weak letters in the text, like the 'L' in Liberty, the 'E' in In 'God We Trust', the 'RI' and part of the 'C' in America, and also, the bottom part of 'NIT' in United.

This came straight from a bank roll that's been sitting in my safe since 1999. Can someone help me identify what I'm seeing, please?

(Oh, and BTW, I've weighed it and the others in the roll, and it seems to be the correct planchet )

@aug, overall I'd say this coin looks pretty normal. There might have been a tiny amount of grease in the die when this coin was struck and that caused those letters to not be fully struck. Anything of note on the reverse f this coin?

No. The reverse is totally unremarkable - it looks fine.
The letters I noted are quite lower in depth than the rest of the letters around them. The other coins from the roll are fine also.

Ok yes sounds like a bit of grease in the die then, although others will be along to offer their opinions too.
