Hey , good people. Sheesh, my eyes hurt!!! Okay, so according to Wexler, it appears I have a WDDO-001 or 002. It's the same 50 cent coin I thought had the messed up designer initials. I'm unable to find values so was wondering if any ot you all have an idea. Not looking to sell just catalog information

You must mean VV (Variety Vista), because doubleddie.com doesn't have any listings for 1971 D, only for 1971 P. I am not seeing any doubling in the picture.

OK, the Wexler do not post photos for DDO 001 because is very close to DDO 002 and it is very common and almost no numismatic interest. This I understood.. Not sure but could be this. VV post, so for point of view of your coin you do not meet those criteria. Other thing to know is that the Haves has so many minors DDR and DDO:s that the collectors just ignore them For price is hard because the market on those days change very fast. So those are my thoughts. You choice.

Wexler's listing is for 1971 (P), not 1971-D. Philly doubled dies can't appear on a Denver-minted coin.

@Silviosi Wexler's page for Philly is missing DDO-001 images because he (and now the new team in charge) haven't had a chance to add images to the site yet. There are many incomplete listings like this on Wexler's, and it has nothing to do with omitting it because it's "similar to DDO-002." Once again, please know what you're talking about before commenting, as this coin isn't even a Philly, so Wexler's Philly listings are irrelevant to OP.

@ SAM: You told me about WEX? and you like VV. If I go to see VV is full of errors and misinterpretations. It is not because was miss photos, it is because it is not relevant. Please do not come to me to tell me about this site VV and do not try ever teach me about the RPM's.

@Silviosi I'm not sure what you're even talking about. Your response doesn't have anything to do with what I said as far as I can tell.

My apologies to the group. I am not here to be argumentative in any way shape or form. Nor am I looking to be combative. I'm new to this and I'm going to make mistakes. Probably more than most. I would hope that one would remember back to their earliest days when when trying to learn to navigate these waters. Again, my apologies.
