1851 large cent..poor condition bust is this an error of some sort? Cud or die break? Both? Neither? Just PMD? Thanks for all opinions.

Well that flake on the rim looks bit like a lamination or planchet defect to me, but the other part on the denomination is all graffiti.

Interesting. I'm thinking it's a lamination, too. It looks as if the lamination extends through the letters ERICA, but it may just be a well-placed contact mark.

The bad part is the attempt to modify the denomination of ONE CENT into a 'Brothel Token' leaving the coin damaged.

agree with lamination. unfortunate scratch between ONE and CENT. I believe someone might have started to try to turn this into a so-called 'brothel token', altering the E in CENT to the last vowel in the alphabet.
