Pop pulled silver dollars, halves, quarters, dimes from circulation and stashed them in tubes. I do have sentimental coins that he gave me to start collecting as a kid—a Buffalo nickel with metal missing, a 1776-1976 golden brass London Bridge AZ Trade dollar, a pair of Barber dimes from the years he and grandma were born. Those I will always keep. This particular coin is just a coin, although I think it's pretty cool and might end up earmarking it for inheritance. I do see a number of completed ebay auctions in the $150-250 range for similar holed coins from comparable dates like 1871, often in lesser condition. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nk...H_Complete=1 Any feelings on repair?
