The first two pictures are straight from the PCGS website and it's two different coins. Both are ms-67+ and all I was hoping for is a ms-67. Does this coin even have a shot?

the spotting doesn't help, and what are the brighter strips above the date, looks sort of like a fingerprint, I'd say MS-66

To me, scuffs on lower lapel hold this to MS-66.

IMO a MS67 coin should be well struck, yours shows weakness of the wheat stalks especially on the left.
This as well as the marks on the obverse really detract from the eye appeal of your coin.
The PCGS coins are well struck and have eye appeal.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

You guys are right. The photo is 30X coin scope, but I think PCGS pic is also higher than 10x. Unfortunately, A coin scope doesn't give you the actual color of the coin. The scope doesn't give you the luster like a photo. To the right of the portrait is just some toning. With all of that said, this coin doesn't have that "it" about it.

its tough to compare yours with the 67's due to type of photography used on those. there is more brilliance on the 67's however that could be attributed to lighting. you can still see the chatter on the shoulder which we see a lot and I believe is die related marks. you will also notice the chatter on the bottom of the lapel which is absent on the 67's presented. shadows on the top of the head and hiding strike in that area which is needed. the value between 66 and 67 is quite a bit, the discoloration on the obv fields most likely will exclude it from that grade

i'd call it MS66 possibly a +

its a nice coin but as for grading...probably not worth the chance

I think your pics are bringing out the the obverse high point "scuffs". My only concern is with the obverse field luster and whether it's broken in those two "toned" areas. The PCGS examples appear to have that cherry red toning the TPGs like , it contributes to the eye appeal. For sure it's at least 66.
