Thattalldude New Member United States 16 Posts	Posted 08/15/2023 10:24 pm Well. finally got around to looking at my new Peace dollar tonight and it looks like I was lucky enough to get one with a nice long obverse scratch between the E and R. sigh Does anyone have experience with returning coins back to the mint and receiving a replacement? Before taking further action, make sure that it's not just a piece of fluff or some such that is resting on the surface of the coin. livingwater Pillar of the Community United States 2213 Posts	Posted 08/16/2023 7:33 pm Whether scratch on capsule or coin I'd prefer to send it back if it were me. Call mint customer service, tell them you got a damaged one. They should have a return label emailed to you. Use the order label that came with the coin. At the bottom of the label is a form to fill out. You can check the coin as damaged and if you want a refund or replacement if there are some available, currently there is. Put this label in the box when you mail it back. I got one Morgan and one Peace with small pits in the field I did not like. They are on their way back to the mint.
