I have a Sacagawea dollar coin that looks totally different from the others. I am not a coin collector and I honestly have no idea if this is even a thing. This coin stood out from all the others, which is what prompted me to begin to research. Does anyone know if this is normal coloring/aging of this coin? It weighs 7.7. It is not the same thickness as the other gold dollars. This coin came in a roll from Chase Bank. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
Just worn, possibly as a pocket piece for a couple of years. There is just no toning on the coin from wear. I have a similar one I got from a roll roll hunting.
This is just Post Mint Damage or PMD. While I can't be sure of what caused this, it has the look of a Dryer Coin with the flat edge and missing detail on the highest point of the design.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
