1973 D Obverse Striation/ Reverse Rotation.

It does appear to have a large horizontal striation as well as a strong reverse rotation. Any comments on this variety and should it get graded would be appreciated! Report this Post to the Staff

The best way to document a potential die rotation is by taking a picture of the coin slightly obliquely and in front of a mirror such that you capture both sides simultaneously. I agree pretty much with all of you and will do the mirror test. Grading can be costly. I do appreciate your opinion on a premium return risk also. Thanks again . The rotation is a really neat find.
