1950 D for you opinions..carbon spots? Gold tone. Can anything be done? Can I soak this in acetone? Will it destroy the toning?..What's best course of action if any?

Spots kill this, not worth enough for conservation. Acetone unlikely to help. Others may have ideas.

Black cupric oxide corrosion, normally mixed with nickel oxides. This type of corrosion is terminal and it cannot be removed without ruining the coin.

I'd just leave it alone and store it in a holder or flip right away.

The spots are permanent, conservation will not do anything to remove them.

decent strike, not full steps, but that spotting is forever, it's still a low mintage coin, however
