So I saw this coin and bought it for sentimental reasons. Not a collector coin in any sense, but how do you think it graded. Also wonder who would TPG a coin like this, but no accounting for taste. BTW, these are seller's pics - I don't have the coin in hand yet. *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***Edited by Blastenpene4 11/04/2023 5:45 pm

Dings on Abe's forehead and cheek along with the reverse chatter, 64/65 would be my guess.

Hard to work out the colour. I'll say 64RB.

I'll say MS-65.

MS65RD would be my guess. 66 is possible but it doesn't look quite that good in these images. 1946 Lincoln cents were struck in shell-case brass and this one really shows it off well.

I say MS65RD. The coin is worth less than the cost to grade it.

Very true, nickelsearcher. Can't imagine why anyone would have sent it to PCGS. I'll post the grade tomorrow.

the shoulder chatter is die related and typical. I think TPG's ignore most of that. I'm going with MS64RD

MS66RD is probably what PCGS called it, I think it's should be MS65RD due to the hit on the forehead of Lincoln.
