I inherited a circulated LWC ( 1909 VDB - 1948S ) album. Here's the 1914-D from the album:

1914--D-Lincoln-Wheat-Cent-For-Evaluation 1914--D-Lincoln-Wheat-Cent-For-Evaluation

What grade would this one be ? Do I only need to assess the "key date" coins ?

The 112 cents in this album vary in quality; the 1909S VDB will be sent off to ANACS for verification.

Any tips for assessing and selling circulated albums of LWC and Jefferson nickels -- links to threads within the CCF discussing these topics are especially helpful -- would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pics aren't the best, but I'll say VF-20 with obverse possibly cleaned.

Pictures make the obverse and the reverse appear different in color. Is that how it looks in hand? Cannot authenticate with those pictures, a close-up of the MM and date area w/ MM would help.

Looks to be around EF40 to me.

Thanks for your help. Took the coin outside, re-took photos. Other than cropping, no filters from the camera or Pixlr applied.

Dang, the obverse has been cleaned. It's still a valuable coin cleaned, it's a tough key date, probably worth ~ $100 range.

Looks to be around VF details.

with obverse cleaned, VF details range. Hopefully the other key dates in that album have not been tampered with.
