Looks like this coin might be from one of the Indian Princely States but not sure.
If someone could identify it for me that would be good.
weight 9g approx diameter 18mm. about 4mm thick.

Yes, Indian. Based on the weight and general appearance I believe this is either a bahloli of Humayun or a falus of the Sultans of Gujarat. Hopefully another member will be able to read the coin and/or attribute it more exactly. When giving weights please give them to the nearest tenth of a gram (e.g. 8.8, 9.0, 9.3 etc.) to enable more efficient searching in the Zeno database.

Excellent attribution by @drnsreedhar. Looking through Goron/Goenka I can confirm it's a match to M36. The mint listed is Shadiabad and the dates listed are 844-854 and 858. This is a very nice example.
