Hi everyone,
I'm brand new here. I've always had a question, I've got 2 uncut sheets bought in 1989 by my grandfather. Currency is such a hard thing to research and I'm curious how to go about valuing them. They are essentially in mint condition and have been in cardboard tubes since they were purchased. Does anyone have any resources or recommendations on how to look into this? If they're worthless I was thinking about maybe framing them or something. But if they do hold decent value I assume they shouldn't be in light (maybe stored in an acid-free matte board folder?)

At some point you will have to unroll the sheets to see if you have a special serial # like a solid or million or maybe a 001, most of the premium value in these sheets are in the numbers. You have to be careful on handling sheets as borders and edges get damaged during this process, they come up for auctions quite frequently, good luck and welcome!

Do I need to check every single serial? Checked coins and canada and looks like it's maybe 2 dollars for the bill, what does a sheet bring to the table?

Since, you already unrolled, find something heavy to hold the 4 corners without marking the sheet and you have your answers,

Coin dealers see these all the time and pay a few times over face value. They are, after all, spendable banknotes if you cut them up. Usually the edges of the rolls have been damaged so if yours are not, they would be worth a bit more.

Thanks for all the advice, I think it let me know what I needed to know. Definitely worth just keeping. Next I need to find all my old
Coins, but I don't know where they went after my parents moved like 15 years ago.
