Don't have a lot of Franklins, but this one caught my fancy. How would you grade it?:

Hard to tell. A lot of what would hold it back from being a 65 might be scratches/debris on and under the holder. That said, I'm not an expert in Franklin halves (or anything else for that matter) I'm going to hedge and say 64.

Bag marks and scratches will hold it down. I'll give it a 63.

I'd say MS-64 in my opinion.
Errers and Varietys.

just way to many marks on both sides for me to give it a 64
MS63. FBL is questionable due to the hit. I have seen several FBL with hits like this so who knows what they use to determine that. for me any impingement on any of the lines disqualifies the designation.

Impossible to tell with these photos which of those scratches are on the coin or the holder. If we assume on the coin then this is no better than MS63 IMO.

Agree, if those nicks are on the coin, then no better than MS-63.

sorry PCGS you blew this one on both the grade and designation. like I said, TPG's are really inconsistent with FBL's.

I can't get above MS-64 on this one.
