Personally, I would not describe this as a "coin" but rather a sculpture.

"Made from almost 8 pounds of gold and some 6,426 diamonds, a new coin honoring the life of Queen Elizabeth II may be 'among the most valuable coins of all time.'"

In fact, the creator of this one-off luxury object has valued it at "around $23 million."

I'm trying to figure out if the central gold coin - the 10000 pounds from Saint Helena - is a standalone coin, or if it's a unique design applied only to this object. The EIC website describes it as a 1 kilogram coin.

If all they have done is taken 11 regular bullion coins, and mounted them all onto a single frame, then all they've done is made a display case, not a "coin". A very skilful, expensive and elegant display case, mind, but that ultimately is what it would amount to.

And, ultimately, they can "value" it at whatever price they wish; it's not truly "worth" that until someone actually buys it for that price.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
