I found two pieces of US-era Philippine Peso coins. One was minted in 1907 and one in 1908. Sadly, I just found this in my grandfather's old shoebox where he kept most of his coins.
I want to know if: 1. Are these authentic? 2. Are they of any value?
The pictures are too small to see well but these are common dates and typical Philippine tarnished coins that are not really very expensive. You can also see a lot of fake of these common dates. Check the weight, it has to be 20 grams
From what I can tell from the pictures they are both real, these are KM# 172 minted in San Francisco and are .800 silver. The 1907 is in better condition and worth about $10.00, and the 1908 is worth about $5.50.
