pinoy1980 New Member Philippines 4 Posts	Posted 03/31/2009 08:51 am I have another set of coins... Can anyone help me with this? Again, this is from my grandfather. These are Philippine Marcos-Era 5-Peso commemorative coins. I have 7 silver coins, and 1 gold coin. As to whether they are really made from silver and gold, I do not know. I wish someone could help me. If you like, I can e-mail you the higher resolution images. I am limited to 90kb per image posting here. Thanks for all the help. echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 03/31/2009 09:02 am , #1 5 Piso is not a gold coin, it is KM# 210.1 and made from nickel. If it's gold in color than it has been plated possibably to fool an unknowing collector. Worth A dollar or two. #2 Is the same coin in it's orginal nickel color. Report this Post to the Staff
