I don't see much going on with the eye, but the beard is definitely doubled.

I knew the eye wasn't doubled, and I was looking at the higher portion of the beard on the chin. After a little investigating the LMC of 91 and 92 both have that little bit of "extra" on the chin portion of the beard. Before 91 and after 92 it appears that "extra" seems to no longer be part of the design.
