Hello everyone, this is my first post here, so please bear with me if I'm not doing it quite right. Today, while coin hunting, I stumbled upon a 2003 Arkansas quarter that seems to have an interesting feature - it looks like George Washington has a nail in his head due to what appears to be a die crack or some other minting error. I've attached a few pictures for you all to see, and I'm hoping to get some feedback from the community.

1. Could anyone help me determine if this is a minting error or post-mint damage ( PMD)?
2. Is this a known and recognized error in the world of coin collecting?

I've tried searching on Google but couldn't find any information about it. Your expertise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!"

Welcome to the CCF, Silver Surfer! This appears to be a die chip, which is not technically an error and does not carry a numismatic premium. However, it's 2X2 worthy as the cost of keeping it is minimal.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

To CCF! Looks like damage to me. Pictures have a lot of glare, so I am not definite.
