Part of my collection inheritance includes commemorative coins. I been looking through some of COMMEMS collection and found different documentation than seen in Commems write-up for this coin. My COA looks much different not in content but in the format. Mine, completely unfolded, measures 11x5.5", folded twice.

BTW: The sets I've looked at thus far are showing fogging in the field area. Should I be concerned, what to do. Just stored in a cardboard box.

I have no idea where Dad bought this coin. So just curious about this. Any thoughts or comments?

@mike31093: Thanks for sharing!

What you've shown in your image is the standard material for the individual Proof version of the Capitol Silver Dollar. vs. the Architectural History Set. The coin was available individually in Uncirculated and Proof versions in addition to the History Set.

Here are 2 pics from my collection. This silver proof dollar has some fogging on both sides but most obvious on the obverse where there is more field showing. The fogging isn't all that noticeable until you look at a close-up. Assumption is that Dad bought this from the Mint. I have all OGP and COA.

I'm still struggling with my photography. This coin has a mirror-like finish. Camera is tripod mounted directly above the coin and was getting reflected in the coins surface. The experiment lives on...

Commems has an excellent post discussing this coin, its history and its inception. WOW. Do you really have all those commemoratives?

Yes, plus others that I haven't yet posted.

Nice coin, but Without professional restoration, the milking is there to stay

Initial price was about $40. Current (PCGS) price is MS-69 $40, MS-70 $190. I think those might be DCAM values, though. Have no idea what restoration would cost.
