From what I can tell it's a 1965 penny Denver mint. I know it's just a bit smaller than a penny and a bit bigger than a dime. It's the same width as a dime and even as the ridges. However it's really hard to make out the dime part, which is why I am thinking it may have been struck numerous times. The dime part is also off centered.... I tried looking up info but I haven't found any Tha isbthis hard tobsee....any suggestions as to if it might be worth anything and the best waybto make the dime image any clearer Edited by Mercerdaddy 09/24/2023 10:04 pm

to the CCF! It can't be a D mint mark, as no coins of any denomination minted in the US in 1965, 1966 or 1967 had mint marks. I don't see any evidence of an additional strike. The coin may have been exposed to an acidic environment that has reduced the size slightly and caused the pitting. I really think it's all just Post Mint Damage and not an error. PMD

I would concur; it was a normal Lincoln Cent, and acid damage made it shrink slightly, and caused the pitting. I'm not sure where your "dime" is coming from, but I'm not seeing any evidence of it.

Agree--rather vicious post-strike damage.
