First one is Custom Gold Units. They were first introduced in the 1930s as a sort of stable currency in order to pay taxes and duties. But, as they were introduced into circulation, they quickly lost their value.

And the second one is invasion money for the Philippines.

Also, yotie, a lot of people seem to be looking for you...

What exactly is invasion money? Sounds kind of hostile.

When the Japanese invaded the countries (well, actually before they invaded) they printed massive amounts of "new" paper money that was backed by nothing, not even the yen (which was backed by gold). So, after the invasion and establishment of the Japanese puppet government, they forced all people to redeem their old currencies (that were redeemable for something, in this case Philippine pesos for silver) and exported whatever it was worth to Japan to feed the war machine.

Furthermore, they paid farmers and businesses that were either forced or friendly to the invasion government with worthless paper, so that the farmers were selling their food in exchange for just paper.

Thus, inflation was rampant, and soon people had to carry bags of these "Mickey Mouse" money to buy simple things. And worse yet, after liberation, the money was worthless and so people lost their savings and everything. The Japanese government to this day refuses to redeem their issued war notes.

oh my! that's TERRIBLE. I am not much of a war buff so I guess my knowledge is limited. I guess most of us forget what the regular citizens had to go through.
