Found this in my tip jar tonight at work. It's a 197-something (probably 1970) D Quarter. It weighs 4.2G as sounds like silver. Also has a small die crack in one of the wings. And the whole thing seems just a hair thinner that a typical quarter .What do I have ?
, struck on dime stock, much like the one I posted some time ago on here, indeed, this is a mint error! The weight is right, thinness, and weakness of strike are all hallmarks of this error. Probably worth something to various collectors as well...
