197? D Quarter Weighs 4.2g And Sounds Like Silver ? What Did I Find?

Crowny New Member United States 31 Posts	Posted 09/28/2023 9:12 pm Found this in my tip jar tonight at work. It's a 197-something (probably 1970) D Quarter. It weighs 4.2G as sounds like silver. Also has a small die crack in one of the wings. And the whole thing seems just a hair thinner that a typical quarter .What do I have ? Report this Post to the Staff

The weight is right, thinness, and weakness of strike are all hallmarks of this error. Probably worth something to various collectors as well... Report this Post to the Staff
