Me Newbie,

I had a look through the forum and did not see this topic (although I assume it exists). I currently have my collection in 2x2s in the narrow boxes. I want to shift to an album format, for display and tracking the collection. What is the best solution? I see albums on Amazon that would be ok for the 2x2s but I also have some ICCS large holders and NCC plastic boxes and capsuled coins that would not fit.

What to do?

Welcome to CCF! If you use the search line here on CCF, upper left, you'll find several topics about coin storage. I don't use albums so I can't help.

I use Lighthouse Quadrums (square) for my more expensive coins; proof silver dollars, proof fifty cent pieces, etc. They come with many different sized foam inserts.
You can also purchase their plastic pages (three or four hole) for heavy duty albums/3 ring binders. For other coins I use 2x2 in heavy duty 3 ring binders (Home Depot).

Late to the game, but this is a stuck topic so this will keep the information readily available

I like the CAPS Binder Pages, which is designed for Air-Tite Brand Capsules

I prefer to use windowed albums and try to buy used ones in good condition. they will keep the coins in better condition. if you send into be graded that is best for keeping the quality of condition in a graded slab holder some 2x2 and round airtight holders also are very nice, & not too expensive and preserve the condition well. the best solution is some kind of airtight capsule.
