Should I send it to be graded?

It's not RDV-006. It's the normal RDV-005 reverse. Definitely not worth getting it grading at all.

For anyone else wondering (because I had no idea what a flared-G 1988 cent was):

http://www.varietyvista.com/09d%20W...arieties.htm

Basically the FS-901 is a reverse of 1989 used early in 1988. The difference appears to be a hooked end on the G compared to a straighter one. I can't tell anything conclusive from those pictures, but Errers generally knows his stuff.

A little surprising that a RD cent would start at $100 for an uncirculated Zincoln.

With these pictures, it looks right 006 Need a up close in focus picture of the FG. Even if it is it wouldn't be worth grading the carbon spots kills it.

I do not believe this is the FS-901. My reason is the first A in AMERICA is the same as it is on the RDV-005 and I have yet to see a clear closeup of the designers initials

Still looks good. Can you confirm that on the upright of the G, it goes back to the left, and the bottom of the G extends down past the curve of the G. http://www.lincolncentsonline.com/i...e%201989.jpg

If we look at the photos 4,5,6 and 7, then we can see that we have here an old die which will give impression of 006 (talk about FG). In fact IMHO it is not. The letters also show the 005 which never has the combine with 006.

It is the RDV-005. You can draw a straight line in the gap between the top and bottom curl of the G and the line would touch both curls,
