Just got this REALLY rough imitation Taler. Only £3.70 but 36mm wide and brass with traces of gold wash. I think it must've spent its early life in close proximity to a belly dancer, lucky thing!!!

Just been and checked the weight. A stonking 13.7 grammes. That's less than half that of the real thing. Might hurt somebody if it flew off in a bout of rapid shimmying though...
