I believe that the Bronze Age (2,000BC to 700BC) pretty much predates the start of coins, Additionally, those early coins are typically not as round as what you have here. Assuming that you found this in the ground in the UK, I would much sooner suspect a British coin or token that has been heavily damaged by fire, environmental exposure, or both.
