Pre-1965 Proof Vs. Uncirculated Set Packaging.

As I understand it, the proof sets were issued in cellophane with no stripes, and an octagonal mint identifier. The uncirculated sets were issued in cellophane with a red stripe for Denver, a blue stripe for Philly, and a round mint identifier. Is this correct? For the proof sets they started the flat cello packaging in 1955 and on that year issued the sets in both a small box and in a flat envelope. Collecting since 1972. The "plastic" used to enclose each coin for the small box version was not archival. . .See the toning on the Half and Quarter in the photos below. The bundle stapled together is as shipped by USM. There's such a premium for OGP I haven't pulled the trigger on repackaging the coins into different storage media. Should I leave them as is ? Report this Post to the Staff

If you just look at the PCGS price list, they break out Full Steps in the grid.
