I have this 1984 proof DCAM that shows strong striations or lines running across the background surface of both sides. They do not run across the images. I am including 3 images to show this. A slight glare is seen on the surface from the thin plastic covering on the coin in its pocket. Is this a normal variant and does it diminish the quality/value of the coin?
Thank you in advance.

I think it's a plating issue. The 1980's LMC's were notorious for plating issues.

jackson12345,
Always remove coin from holders before taking photos when possible...always.
I agree with your coin having a plating issue. Not a normal thing but no premium either.

I like it, may not be worth anything but it is a good conversation piece.
