If you are to show up close images, please try to keep them oriented properly and the same as the whole coin image. It prevents us from having to stare at it for a long time trying to match it up and get an idea of its actual location on the coin. But that said, after staring at this for a long time, I have come to the conclusion that the feature is a circulation hit and moved metal.
