Is this worth more than the $1.80 it cost me at the time? How much you think this one bounced around in the last 115 years?
Please share your thoughts.

Definitely worth more than you paid for it. Quite a decent find for a junk bin.

Grade F15 details, cleaned

Full Liberty with nearly full lower band, I'll say EF details (cleaned).

Did you check this coin for the mis/re-punched date varieties? There seems to be some odd stuff going on inside the lower loop of the 8 and inside the 0, but I can't really make it out.

Now that is a nice junk (not!) find! If it was cleaned, I'd say it was a while ago and started to retone back some. I too would put it at about XF-40ish gradewise

Reminds me of my AU-50+ 1908-O dime I found several years ago for all of $1.60...

I see we both got lucky in the junk bins... Does look like probably cleaned at some point in time, but I'd be at VF-35/EF-40.

I did check it out. Close ups are posted in the Classic errors and various forum. Looks promising.

Panzaldi, I don't know. I am obviously wrong, though.

I'd even go AU50. Full band below Liberty and the reverse corn kernels are all distinct. It's pretty beat up though. Not sure if cleaned. Discussion about the RPD is here http://goccf.com/t/454570
