I was trying to match a 2019 DDR, and the catalog noted the closest match as Satin Finish. According to PCGS, the satin finish option was offered in 2005-2010. The only other recent finishes were the 225th anniversary 2017-S enhanced uncirculated, and the reverse proofs.

Am I missing something?

Nothing special with Nickels in 2019. Just circulation strike and proof strike.

PCGS is right about the satin finish and that was for all coins in the mint issued uncirculated sets.

Sorta recent, The 1994 Thomas Jefferson Commem set and the 1997Botanical Garden Commem set also have nickels with special finishes.

Ok, thanks for the info. Somebody probably just checked the wrong box on the database form when uploading the record.

Also, welcome to the Coin Community Forum! =)
