Can someone please explain a "die dent" to me? There is a pair above the M, and a pair above the S. When I saw those features in the catalog, they looked incuse on the coin, and I did not expect to find them on my example. They almost look like a Ring of Death scrape near the rim. But sure enough, there they are. The metal looks incuse on the coin. Are my eyes playing tricks with the light and shadows, and those are actually raised features on the coin? Because if the features are incuse on the coin, they would be raised on the die, and that doesn't make sense to me.

Heh. Ok, I understand what a die dent is. Clang, something hits the die, dented. Now coins struck will have a soft raised line there.

However, the supposed dents I imaged just don't look raised to me. If I hold the iPad far from my face, they start to look raised. But up close, they look lower than the plane.

Maybe if I take some pictures in the axial box, my brain will be able to see the features as raised on the coin.
