It is possible. The seller only said that the first one might be John Komnenos Doukas (ruler of Thessalonica), and the second might be John III Doukas Vatatzes (emperor of Nicaea) - what do You think about this idea? Anyway, thanks for help
There really isn't enough detail on either coin to be 100% certain. But from what I can make out they are both of the same emperor. I'm going to stick with my first choice of Alexius III.
