Hi found this 1996 sir henry parkes $1 coin with raised metal, looks too clean to be a die crack and in saying that it raised line/s are too clean imo to be a stain, could it be a strike through and retained error or something else? Pls help

Yes, definitely not a die crack error.

With regards to the 'raised line(s)', are you saying that the two lines are raised and that the area between them is indented or are the two lines the indentations and the area between them the raised metal?

Also, has the area at the base of the '1' been affected and what does the obverse look like in the same area?

The flat spot between them 2 lines is not indented that is the area of coin that should be flat the 2 raised lines should not be there
The part that goes through base of one I am unsure if that is PMD or not because of coin being well circulated and has dings all over.
Also obverse to me looks normal, unless I'm missing something? Here's a pic.

I agree with coinpoacher it's raised instead of being flat, I also will add this link of my older coin but of course my coin is alot smaller and has similarities.

That's not what I expected. I would have thought that would be an indentation present that caused the metal to be pushed upwards to form the two lines ... like being pinched with a pair of nippers except that there is no marking on the obverse? It's also noticeable that the rim has not been affected.

So if this is inconclusive what are my options to get this checked out properly? A coin dealer? But where? I hate dealers for the reason of once yrs ago I went to one and because my coins were from circulation not minted he refused to look at them and just said they rubbish. Didn't even glance at them. Since then I never felt like going into another coin dealer again. His arrogance was really annoying and off putting. I even remember bringing my 10c die clash as a "look I got actual errors" sort of thing
