Rate this coin. What condition do you think this coin has? At what price would you rate these 6 pence ?

Please could you provide a clear close-up of the date area? It looks like an overdate. My catalogs list 1859/8 but no overdate for 1858.

I'd grade this coin as VG but cleaned and polished. There is quite a demand for Victorian sixpences in this sort of condition in the UK, as they are popular coins and many collectors try to assemble a date set. My local coin dealer would probably ask for between £5 and £10 for an 1858 or an 1859/8 in this condition.

Thanks for photo. Not seen anything like that before. Maybe the final digit of the date suffered a hit in circulation. Let's see what others think.
