Hi all,

Second time posting... but I was going through a coin collection and noticed that this 1955 Canadian small cent doesn't seem to be on the traditional copper planchet. Wondering if that's true or maybe this is just cleaned or something? Thanks.

I don't have a scale so I'm not sure about weight, but it doesn't stick to a magnet.

Almost certainly plated.

Canada didn't strike any foreign coins in 1955 and its not off-center enough to be struck on any other Canadian planchets.

ntafoya1,

Just a heads-up: Please properly crop pics before posting them. We only need to see the coin.
Make sure to flatten staples so you do not damage other coins when you stack 2x2 on top of each other.
Remove coins from holders before taking pics whenever possible.

With the "bubbles" at second 5 of date I would say plated by pics provided.
