Hello, I came across this quarter today and noticed the images on the quarter are upside down from each other. I'm curious to know if that is how this quarter is supposed to be and get any info on it you may know about. Thanks! *** Edited by Staff to crop/rotate/resize images. That would be normal. If you are looking at the obverse (George side) and flip it over from top to bottom, that the Lady on the reverse (Jovita) will be up right. It is called a 'coin turn . Medals are called 'medal turn and are flipped side to side to keep the image up right .

If you could, can you take an image of your coin using a mirror? This way we can see both sides of the coin in the same picture.

Sorry a bit blurry but here you can see the other side is faced upside down. Are all of them like this?

No need for mirrors or other quarters. It's the normal orientation for a US coin.

Maybe it's a style thing but I prefer that new collectors learn numismatics, per my post that was deleted, rather than be depedent upon us to feed answers.

I agree this is the normal orientation for US coinage. This is expected and referred to as "coin alignment", which is used to describe the orientation of the obverse design to the reverse design. (The other type of alignment is referred to as medalic alignment.) Here is a link to yuor quarter on the website Numista. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces349994.htmlOn the right side of the page is the production specs. The site can be very helpful.

Medalic alignment flips if you hold it at 12 and 6 o'clock. Coin alignment flips if held at 3 and 9 o'clock.
give it a try
