Yes, an accurate weight--to two decimal places--could reveal much.

Well it appears to be of a copper color - so, we need an accurate weight to help you more. (if it is a fully clad dime it should weigh 2.27 grams. if the clad is missing, it will be significantly lighter.

I think I can see the cupro-nickel surface appearing on the edge.

This looks like a typical coin that's been buried for a while and dug up, possibly by a metal detectorist.
