I would like to collect all the late queen's portraits on a single series of coins (non-proofs).
The introduction of her second portrait for the decimal coinage means that no circulating coins have more than 4 of the 5 definitive portraits.
The sovereigns only have the fourth portrait on proof coins (out of my financial reach).
So I think the only coin series I can use is the Crown.
This series not only includes examples of all five definitive portraits, but also three equestrian ones, a special Commemorative (2015) and one conjoined with Prince Philip. In fact the only one I can think of that is missing is the enthroned one on the Tudor Rose sovereign.
Is there a series I've missed?
Are there any other portraits used as obverses on UK coins, that don't appear on the Crown series?

I think your analysis is correct. It should not be difficult or expensive to complete that series. The pre-decimal crowns are very cheap and plentiful.

When you have completed that, you might have more fun adding the portraits on the Commonwealth coins, which are far more numerous. Some, I would have to say, are not too flattering - I think particularly of the Canadian example!

Thanks.

I don't want to get into the Commonwealth obverses - as you say, some of them are decidedly unflattering!...

This is with the assumption that a pre-decimal penny is not the same series as a decimal penny? The Crown hasn't been a circulating coin for a long time.
