This 2010-P Arkansas quarter is from a mint set. I think the MDD is very unusual. Is this very common?

That's what Machine Doubling looks like on incused letters. It makes them look bigger. If it was a DD they would look smaller.

This it is incuse. We say MD which it is correct from the spectrum of MD.

On this new coins I saw that it is the DDD., one of the MD three components.
