HP your 1881 Morgan obv/rev look fairly good as far as lighting. Have you taken a look at the sharpen feature in the set up menu? Running it to 100% has given me a lot crisper image. Maybe you could sharpen it up a bit using that tweak?

This is what I've been able to come up with using the microscope with a little help from my graphics software, Gimp. Original file was huge
9600 x 5400 Pixels (51.84 MPixels) (16:9).



This is same coin using my Canon Rebel t5 which is 18 MP
