Better grade, a lot more detail, and nicer patina. A nice step upward. Well done.

That's a very nice upgrade. One of the nicer looking Jovians I've seen in a good while. Super sharp strike, well-centered bust, even the textures in the wreath are mostly fully struck up.

I'm not saying that the Heraclea coin is not a nice coin, but the new one is outstanding.

Now you just need to pick up the AV Jovian solidus - also of Sirmium - that CNG currently has up for grabs...

heheheh Paralyse, No, I just bought a Valentinian III Solidus which will be here in a few days. I just won that in the last CNG auction.
After that, I am only missing Gordian II for my Imperial collection (well and Constantius III but I'm pretending he never existed because I'm not spending 25k on a coin).
So now that I am down to Gordian II which I will also have soon I hope, I am just upgrading some of the poorer examples in the collection.

I'd love to have any aureus or solidus in my cabinet, even a tetarteron or hyperpyron would do. But my budget doesn't allow such things.

Always room for choice LRB's though.

Exceptional.
Any collector of ancients would be attracted to it.
