1958-D-Penny,-What-Is-This?-PMD?-Mint-Error?-Help!

So I was going through my 1958 D pennies, and I came across this one. Is this PMD or is this a mint error. I can't figure out for the life of me. It's smaller than all the rest and it sounds different too. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Definitely PMD. Maybe acid damage. https://www.error-ref.com/acid-shrunk-coins/

PMD. Maybe a once buried coin, maybe harshly cleaned.

Whatever happened to this cent, it did not leave the mint that way. PMD all the way.

Thanks @ Dearborn. I found a few examples of the roller lines you said. Sure enough that's what it is. I am less concerned at how worn it looks I just wanted to know what those lines are. The are same from front to back and they all travel in the same direction on both sides. So thanks for the info.

I think there is a bit of confusion about the roller lines here. The 1978 is dirty roller lines and would be a keeper to me. The 1958-D I do not know what to call it. Let's see what some of the pros say.

With it being smaller in diameter, and differant sound I'm going to say acid etched. There is to much damage to just be roller lines. Maybe a improper mix with the acid effecting one of the metals differantly than the other.

I doubt roller lines here. The reverse show clear lines from a very aged Die.
