I read on the PCGS site that a well graded coin like this could be worth a few dollars. Is that true. Does mine look good enough to have graded if so. It's actually redder and brighter than the picture shows

I'd grade EF-45/AU-50, just a spender, Not even close to a grading candidate.

And the details are better than shown too. The memorial steps are clear. And pretty much all the details are crisp no

Looks like it's been dipped, and recently.

Even if it's uncleaned, not much sense spending $45 to grade a coin that's worth a few cents.

EF to AU at best. Not worth grading. It's a spender.

you have a better chance of hitting the lottery than finding a coin in circulation that can at least cover the cost of grading.

grading costs can be pretty high. figure a minimum of $69 subscription to PCGS plus grading cost of I think is about $22 then add to that shipping and insurance both ways. you need a coin at least double that in value to be worth it and even then its iffy. most seasoned collectors only slab rare coins to authenticate or preserve them.

you still can add any coins you find here for assessment but don't waste your $$ slabbing a coin. at least you checked here first so kudo's on that
