Even if it's uncleaned, not much sense spending $45 to grade a coin that's worth a few cents. panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18635 Posts	Posted 12/03/2023 09:52 am you have a better chance of hitting the lottery than finding a coin in circulation that can at least cover the cost of grading. grading costs can be pretty high. figure a minimum of $69 subscription to PCGS plus grading cost of I think is about $22 then add to that shipping and insurance both ways. you need a coin at least double that in value to be worth it and even then its iffy. most seasoned collectors only slab rare coins to authenticate or preserve them. you still can add any coins you find here for assessment but don't waste your $$ slabbing a coin. at least you checked here first so kudo's on that Report this Post to the Staff
