Seller had this one listed at MS 66+, yeah right, but as such I had to pay too much for it. But this is a pre Cud I discovered some time ago and recognized it when I saw it. Figured I'd pick it up as the original coin wasn't this nice. Not that I enjoy the fingerprints on this one, but the die crack of a pre Cud is much easier to really see in detail on an uncirculated coin. That said, they are actually visually easier to see on circulated coins with brown toning, so BU pre Cuds rarely go for more money than the circulated ones. 1943 Lincoln Wheat cent mint error - pre Cud RCD-1C-1943-110

Very nice pickup of this one - nice movement of the die is very obvious.

Congrats on the pickup. I've got a question about the spots on the reverse.
For some reason, I've convinced myself these spots are an indication of replating. Does this one have original surfaces?

Very much an original coin without any reprocessing having been done. I know it's hard to tell from pics.

Quote: Very much an original coin without any reprocessing having been done. .... Excellent. Thank you. Now I can stop ignoring them (with the spots) as I come across them.

Is there another crack on the reverse from L to C?

Yeah, that's another die crack on the reverse. 1943-P and S coins are just all cracked up, with the D coins somehow a bit better off. Die cracks coming through PLURIBUS make great die markers for varieties.
