Is this the sort of super-gleam that an MS70 cleaned coin would have? Is it possible that it was buffed or rubbed? The lower edge of Monticello gave me some concern. Is that well preserved die polishing, or polishing of the coin? Report this Post to the Staff

panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18645 Posts	Posted 12/10/2023 12:41 pm my first thought was that the coin appears to have altered surfaces. at first I thought it might have been whizzed looking at the hairlines on obv left field however they are not crossing any lettering or devices so I'm with coinfrog on that. something just doesn't look right to me.
