When I was 7 years old I got my first Wheat cent. And like many of us, I started putting those wheat cents in Whitman folders. Concluding 2 years ago with getting another full set of Lincolns.

As I had the folder for 2014+ I always felt I needed to continue the set. Even though I no longer enjoyed collecting the Zincolns. To me the last of the good cents was in 1982 (well 2019 if you count the satin release in 95% copper). A Zincoln can look nice and one day just sprout zinc zits. And they don't have the color or the heft of the original cents.

I also had multiple duplicates of various years and it was time to consolidate. So I started looking for albums, I thought about getting the same I had but looked at other companies.
As part of my research, I found that Dansco had a 7100 Album, which started at 1909 and would end in 2021.
So I started looking for the Dansco.
And it was just not available anywhere....

Does it mean I'm done upgrading? Not really, but it does mean I have no interest to continue buying current Zincoln cents (although depends on what the mint does in 2026, if they go back to 95% copper, than I might get a set). But I'll most likely do it graded. If I find an upgrade for set#1, I'll move the coin upgraded to set 2.

What happened with the duplicate sets?
Let's just say I made 2 people VERY VERY happy with the sets they got.

This is awesome @hfj. Congrats on the consolidated set! Instead of upgrading, how about shifting your sights back in time a bit and collect earlier small cents?

Yikes I guess so. Very well done, but I gotta ask now... how close to a complete set of large cents are you?

Thank you for the comments. I always liked the Wheat cents and the 2009 series was well done, but I lost all interest after the shield reverse came out it was time to end the series (for me)
